GRILLN / ABOUT

Grilling is a craft. We're building the place that treats it that way.

Grilln is the cook log for grillers and pitmasters — built in public, with the people who actually hold the tongs.

§ 01 — Why we exist

Your best cooks are getting forgotten.

Every griller has the same problem. The cooks you actually remember are the ones you happened to text a friend about. The 16-hour brisket from last August? Gone. The wing rub that finally landed? Lost to time. The fuel-temp-rest combination that produced the perfect bark? You'll have to figure it out again next time.

Your Notes app wasn't built for this. Instagram buries food posts to a fraction of your followers — and most of them don't care about pellet brand anyway. Reddit doesn't know who you are next week. Your manufacturer's app cares about exactly one grill: yours.

We built Grilln because grilling deserves a logbook. Every cook captured the moment it comes off the grates. Every rig in your loadout. Every pattern that emerges over a season of fires. Yours, searchable, forever — for the people who actually care.

§ 02 — What we believe

Five things, no equivocation.

A cook is a record, not a post.

Every cook gets a permanent entry — fuel, temp, time, photo, what worked. Not a caption that buries itself in 48 hours. A record you can come back to next August when you want to make the bark just like that again.

What you cooked is what counts.

The credibility currency on Grilln is what you've actually made — your cook count, your range, what you've nailed. Whatever we build to celebrate grillers, it celebrates real cooking, not audience size.

The grill doesn't make the cook. The cook does.

Big Green Egg or backyard cinder-block pit, kettle or kamado, custom offset or pellet — same respect, no rig-based status. The fire's the same. The discipline is what matters.

Made for the people who hold the tongs.

Pitmaster, weekend warrior, first-cook nervous — every level welcome, all real cooks. Engagement comes from people who've actually cooked, not from food-content creators who don't smoke their own brisket.

Start with the people who already care.

Your family WhatsApp grilling thread. Your peer group chat. The kids who watch you cook. Grilln starts with the people who already pay attention to what you make — not strangers tuning in for the algorithm's reasons. Find new grillers when you're ready.

§ 03 — Who built this

A small independent shop.

Grilln is built by a small independent team. We work in public — decision logs, founding cohorts, real conversations with real grillers in real backyards.

We're not a hardware company. We're not an advertising company. We're a software shop building the tool we wanted for ourselves, with the people who care about it as much as we do.

The person who answers support@grilln.app is likely the person who built the feature you're asking about. That's not a launch promise — it's the design.

§ 04 — The bet

What we want Grilln to be.

The place every serious griller in the country logs their cooks. The platform that grilling communities — pitmaster crews, family WhatsApp threads, regional BBQ scenes — quietly run on. The reason newcomers actually get better, faster, instead of bouncing off the YouTube rabbit hole.

We're at the start.

The grillers showing up in week one are setting the tone of the platform for everyone who follows.
